BERNINA 5 series

The 5 series machine is the first in the range to have a touch screen — it has a lot of goodies from the 7 series, just on a smaller more portable frame!

The 570 is a winner all round as it has an easy to use graphic user inferface, beautiful stitching, optional BSR (BERNINA Stitch Regulator) for those dabbling in quilting, and the optional extra of an embroidery unit — all backed up with solid componentry. The free arm is longer than the 4 series (measuring 7.5 inches or 19cm), but still very portable. The practical elements have been taken into account with this machine, while flaunting the luxury of its touch screen and offering some features of a 7 series BERNINA.

As of March 2018 Bernina Australia launched the all new 8.5" free arm 570 QE which boasts a 9mm stitch, integrated dual feed mechanism, automatic presser foot lifter, inbuilt cutter, programmable foot control, and the larger bobbin case system ( 80% larger than the standard bobbin)!!

If you are not into that many features, their 535 is a lovely humble little sister who still has the same framework, but without the automatic presser foot lifter or integrated dual feed, and the standard 5.5mm stitch area is great for dressmakers and quilters. So, a few less bells and whistles, but the same quality and same 8.5" arm, at a very attractive price!

Are you just after and embroidery machine ? Then the 500E is for you. On the same 8.5 inch free arm frame as the other machines in the 5 series range, it can embroider at 1000SPM and features: undo/redo, group/ungroup, pinpoint positioning and endless embroidery. Its sole purpose is to embroider; with ease and delivers remarkable results.
