Refunds, Returns, Warranty, Lay-by, Pricing and Privacy Disclosure

Refunds
Thank you for shopping at Allmake Sewing Centre Pty Ltd. If you’re not happy with your purchase, we’re more than happy to help you -  all we ask is for you to contact us within 7 days of receiving the product. If the product is defective or the incorrect products have been received, you must notify us within 7 days either by email: management@allmakesewing.com.au or  call us on 08 82727244 to let us know of your intent to return the goods. 
In some cases where the item is deemed faulty or not working as it should, we can fix problems over the phone without having to return the item which saves us all time and money. 
Please note that we don’t refund goods where a customer has changed their mind. If the goods are deemed faulty, Allmake Sewing Centre will allow for a refund of the item or exchange for the same item (as long as stock permits this). 
If you are concerned about a sewing machine or overlocker being up to the task for your particular work, before purchasing please contact us so we can organise a demonstration or a sample to be sent to you for your peace of mind. Once the machine has been purchased, we do not refund based on the complaint that the machine is not performing as expected. If you cannot come into the store for a demonstration, another option is for you to send us some fabric that you are working with regularly so we can test it for you and return it for your inspection.
Returning the item
You have 14 days to return an item from the date that you purchased it. To be eligible for a return, the product that you purchased must be unused, ideally still in its original packaging (especially for sewing machines and overlockers), and in the same condition as when you purchased it. We require proof of purchase to be eligible for a return.
Processing a refund
Once we have received your item, we will let you know that we’ve received it and that we are in the process of evaluating the product. We will let you know the status of your returned item as soon as we have finished inspecting your item. If we approve your refund, we will refund it to the original method of payment. Depending on your card issuer’s policies, you will receive the refund in a number of days.
Cost of shipping
You will be responsible for paying the costs of shipping your item back to us. The costs of shipping are non-refundable and non-negotiable. If you are issued a refund as the product is deemed faulty, the cost of shipping the goods will be refunded. In this case you will need to provide proof of how much it cost to ship the goods back to Allmake Sewing Centre.

For reconditioned machines purchased from Allmake Sewing Centre Pty Ltd, we give a 6 month store warranty on the machine, lead and foot control. In a case where the machine isn’t working as it was when purchased, please contact us within the 6 month period so we can resolve the issue. In a case where the issue cannot be resolved (e.g due to parts no longer being available), we will offer a full refund on the machine, not including shipping.

Shipping
Please ensure that your address and contact details are correct (especially when there are automatically applied addresses). We cannot be held responsible for missing parcels if the address given to us is incorrect. If you would like the parcel express posted, or with a note on the parcel to let the posty know where to leave it, we are happy to do this. Simply email us the details on management@allmakesewing.com.au with your order or invoice number so we can follow it up. If needed we can also organise a door-to-door courier; just contact us so we canl navigate the options with you.
We will pack and post your order within two working days as long as we have the goods in stock.
We use Australia Post for most of our postage, but also have other courier options for locals and country customers. If you need these options, email or call us first and we will work through these options with you. Once posted, we will email you a tracking number so you can follow your goodies from us to you.
Pricing
Prices on our website may differ from those in store, including cost of shipping. Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
We do our best to supply accurate, complete and current content on our website, however we are not liable for the material if it is incorrect. Please be aware that we provide information on this site for general purpose and it cannot be relied on or used as the sole basis for making a decision without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete or more timely sources of information to suit your specific needs.
We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. It is the users responsibility to monitor updates by checking the website for changes themselves.
Stock
Stock is subject to availability. If the stock at the advertised price on our website (e.g. sale price) is no longer available, and we haven’t updated the site in time, you will be contacted by us to let you know of the price difference on the available stock or to organise a refund.
If we can see that there will be a hold up on sending out your order of more than 5 working days due to low stock, or items being on back order we will contact you to let you know where the issue lies and navigate the options with you.
The available stock volume displayed on the ordering page for products is a guide only and may not reflect the true volume as it is not directly linked to stock on site which is in our retail store.
In displaying images on our website, we have made every effort to reflect the colours and sizes accurately, however we cannot guarantee that your computer monitor will reproduce these correctly. If you intend to purchase threads regularly, or a variety of colours we can organise for a thread chart to be sent to you. These charts have sample of each thread colour displayed on them. Please email us or call us for this to be organised.
Lay-by
You can layby goods (new and secondhand) so that you can spread the payment over a number of weeks. Please email or call us so that we can organise this for you.
A non-refundable 10% deposit of the total of the purchase amount is required to secure the product. Regular monthly payments are to be made at the counter, over the phone via credit card or by direct deposit into Allmakes' bank account. The last payment must be made before the machine can be collected. If the price of the layby product increases, or decreases over the 3 month layby period, it will not affect the initial layby balance. If a customer chooses to cancel a layby, all payments will be refunded, except the 10% deposit. Direct Deposit details: Account name:

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.allmakesewing.com.au.
What personal information we collect
When you visit the site, the website automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. 
Additionally, as you browse the site, the website collects information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. This automatically collected information is known as Device Information.

Also, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (if using Paypal this third party will collect your credit card details, and another third party, ‘Stripe’ will collect your credit card details in a case where you choose to pay directly by credit card or Apple Pay), email address, and phone number. This is called Order Information.
By Personal Information in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.
How we use your personal information
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). 
Additionally, we use this Order Information to: Communicate with you and screen our orders for potential risk or fraud. When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, we can provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site.
Sharing your personal information
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above (namely Paypal and Stripe).
We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use www.allmakesewing.com.au
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful requests for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Data retention
When you place an order through the site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
