Bernina L450 Overlocker

BERNINA overlocker machines are still the most reliable and easy to use machine with an affordable price tag to match. The L450 and L460 overlocker are faithful friends to the sewing enthusiast as they deliver a lovely rolled hem and 3 and 4 overlocker without fuss. These two Berninas are the go to overlockers for the every day user right through to wedding dress stores and alteration shops who need a back up for their industrial machines. The tensions are not sensitive, the thread path is accessible and easy to thread, and the stitch... divine. These machines are made with quality metal, so loopers are strong and cutting blades have a long life.

The L450 features 2 x LED lights, mtc (Micro Thread Control - simply put, allows micro adjustments to the over-the-edge thread loops - it means you don't have to fiddle with tensions to get things just right!), easy threading with an automatic lower looper threader; the L450 is a gem to use. The table seen on the L460 is an optional extra for the L450 - great gift idea!

  • The BERNINA L 450 offers great sewing comfort. The most commonly used accessories are located in the looper cover, neatly arranged and ready to be used. The cut-offs bin not only holds the fabric cut-offs, but also serves as foot control storage.

  • The L 450 runs smoothly at any sewing speed. It cuts and finishes different thicknesses and types of fabric with ease and high precision. Thanks to the differential feed, you can enjoy wave-free seams in knits and pucker-free seams in fine fabrics.

  • The patended mtc (Micro Thread Control) saves you significant time and effort while ensuring consistent high-quality stitches, since you need only set thread tension once – even if you alter the cutting width and fabric thickness! The mtc fine tunes over edge threads and allows you to sew up to 9mm wide

  • A manual needle threader allows for easy and ergonomic threading. The color coded threading paths as well as the lower looper threader support your quick threading. The left hand side of the overlocker can still open up , even if the optional extension table is attached so if needed you can have a look inside the threading area.

  • With the well-lit workspace of the L 450 eases sewing as well as threading of loopers and needles. The 2 LED lights faciliate precise and accurate work.
