The BERNINA Q Series is designed, engineered, and assembled in Switzerland and comes standard as a sit-down model machine. Bernina have the same machine on different styles of tables depending on your needs.
This powered, height-adjusted table that is built on castors is a favorite choice. It offers stepless electrical height adjustment and great integrated storage solutions for threads, bobbins, scissors and your chocolate stash. The table can be easily expanded to one or both sides, which is really great for larger, bulky quilts. Whether you’re sitting or standing, it’s just one more way BERNINA powers up your quilting potential. Featuring an interchangeable insert, the Q Series Lift Table accommodates the smaller Q Series machines Q 16 and Q 16 PLUS as well as the Q 20.

The BERNINA Q Series long arm quilting machines boasts features which are ahead of its time – a well placed in-built bobbin winder, the BERNINA needle threader, ergonomically designed (hand wheel near the sew head as well as the back of the machine), 2 x BERNINA Stitch Regulators (BSR) which allows for responsive stitch regulation all make for a beautiful machine. Another big benefit is that it takes domestic needles which means you can go to town using all the speciality needles available. The generous free arm depth and height provide ample space for managing your larger quilts. Each machine is hand built by one engineer, in Switzerland. That’s quality.
Upon purchasing a Q Series machine, we deliver and set up the machine and table or frame on site for you, take you through a customised tutorial and ensure that you feel confident with your machine before we take away all the extra unwanted foam and cardboard that comes with the machine which keeps its safe on its journey from Steckborn, Switzerland! Depending on location, transport requirements and distances involved there may be a fee applied, however we can discuss this as the time of purchase.

Thanks to the integrated BERNINA Longarm Stitch Regulator you achieve perfect stitches at equal-length no matter which speed you move the fabric. A manual mode with no stitch regulation is also available. The stitch regulator has 4 modes and customised on the touch screen.
Totally customizable, the user interface includes useful functions, such as five user profiles, a stitch counter, and built-in tutorials regarding maintenance.
The KickStart function allows you to quilt continuously without having to hold down the foot control. The KickStart function can be easily activated or deactivated via touch screen.
The well-positioned spool holders and forward threading path are easy to reach and simple to follow. The on-board bobbin winder makes it convenient to wind your own bobbins. The bobbin winder is located on the stitch head of the machine, simple, easy and attractive.
The exclusive tension system features numeric tension settings making it very easy to use a wide range of thread types with success, no external tension assembly required. The machine comes with a bobbin case tension gauge so you can easily switch thread density ( top and bottom) without the help of a technician.
The Bernina Q Series takes domestic needles, so you can interchange needles with your patchwork machine - big plus! You can even use twin needle, how is that for decorative!
With high-speed precision stitching up to 2.200 stitches per minute, you will complete more quilts quicker than ever.
The machine can be fully operated from the front. The handwheel in the front allows for easy manual needle positioning. Choose between different table options to best suit your preferences.
50 bright LED lights along the throat space of the machine and above the needle illuminate the quilt for enhanced visibility.
